Medfield Animal Shelter Announces Annual Matching Challenge Fundraiser

The holiday season approaches! It’s the giving time of year and once again, a group of loyal and very generous donors have offered to match dollar for dollar every donation the Medfield Animal Shelter receives up to a total of $25,000 in matching funds! To ensure your gift is matched, just
make your donation between November 15, 2018 and January 15, 2019. Our matching challenge fundraiser helps us raise a significant portion of our operating budget every year, allowing our volunteers to spend less time raising money and more time rescuing and finding homes for pets in
need and working with students to teach them about responsible pet ownership.

We are very grateful to be part of a community that supports our mission and for the donors who support us every year. Stray pets from Medfield and Dover are brought to the Shelter to be cared for until their owners are located or until a loving home can be found for them. Many other pets
come into our care after they are rescued from the streets of Boston, Worcester, and towns in Central Massachusetts, areas where there are still many pets in need. Our donors make it possible for every dog, cat, and rabbit we place to be spayed or neutered to ensure they can’t contribute to the pet overpopulation problem.
