MFD Awarded a S.A.F.E. Grant...
On Wednesday, January 2, 2019, Medfield Fire Chief William Carrico, II announced that the Medfield Fire Department received the Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) grant in the amount of $6,754.
He went on to say that this is the first time in several years that the department has taken advantage of this award program and he gives credit to Fire Prevention Officer Lt. Mike Harman who was instrumental in putting the grant application together, making sure it was sent out on time and included key public fire and life safety initiatives planned for Medfield.
The letter he received from the Office of the Governor, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, dated December 26, 2018 reads as follows:
