DeSorgher will be signing his latest book , "This Old Town, On the Banks of the Charles", in Medfield 9/18 and 9/25... don't miss this!

DeSorgher Book Signings!

"This Old Town, On the Banks of the Charles" is the latest book in the This Old Town series written by Town Historian, Richard DeSorgher.

Previous books in the series are "This Old Town, Remembering Medfield" and "This Old Town, Fleetwood 9".

DeSorgher's latest book features 351 paes and over 185 photos contained in 51 new Medfield stories, including in-depth stories on Medfield and the Charles River, the attack on Medfield in the King Philip War, the straw hat industry in Medfield, a look back at Medfield 9/11 on its 20th anniversary and the great controversy concerning the building of the new St. Edward Church.

Book signings will take place on:

  • Saturday, September 18th from 1-3pm at Park Street Books on Main Street
  • Saturday, September 25th - all day at the Historical Society Booth (across the street from the Dwight-Derby House) on Discover Medfield Day.

The cost to purchase a book is $20, which includes tax. Payment can be made with cash, check or VENMO.

Books may also be ordered by mailing a request to: This Old Town, 65 Shields Road, Mashpee, MA 02649. Include return address for book(s) and the names if you want the book signed by the author. There is also an additional $3 for the cost of mailing.
