Another TSARC TEXTILE Collection at Medfield Transfer Station

"Got clutter? Come to the Transfer Station this weekend for textile and small home goods collections!"

The textile drive earlier this month was a huge success, highlighting the demand for further collections.

TSARC is doing it again...this collection will benefit Bay State Textiles AND Epilepsy Foundation on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22.

A Baystate Textiles trailer and Epilepsy trailer will be parked in the swap area for residents to donate clean and bagged textile items during Transfer Station hours of operation.

American citizens discard an average of 81 pounds of textiles annually, leading to 26 billion pounds of waste, the equivalent to 310,000 truckloads of textile material. In fact, 95% of worn or torn clothing and other textiles can be recycled, along with many other textile items. The 15 % of US textiles that are recycled each year help reduce greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing one million cars from highways. The more we recycle, the greater the impact.
Please help us divert textiles from landfills by bringing items such as these to the textile drive Nov. 21 and 22:

• Footwear- heels, work boots, cleats, slippers, etc.
• Clothing- undergarments, socks, blazers, pajamas, pants, etc.
• Textiles- stuffed animals, pillows, draperies, comforters, throw rugs, etc.
• Accessories- hats, belts, duffles, ties, pocketbooks, etc.

No mattresses, carpet remnants, couch or lawn furniture cushions please. All items must be clean and bagged. Please consider using old or new plastic bags as paper ones often rip.
