Blake Middle school student won 1st place and performed at Carnegie Hall

Peter Moiseyev, a sixth grade student at Blake School in Medfield, becomes 1st place winner of the 11th Annual Russian Music Competition

Peter Moiseyev, a sixth grade student at Blake Middle School in Medfield, becomes 1st place winner of the 11th Annual Russian Music Festival and Competition. Winners concert was held at Carnegie Hall, New York City on December 6th, 2014. Peter won competition and performed at the concert Prelude by Reinhold Gliere, a Russian composer of German-Polish ancestry.

Talented Young Musicians Association of New Jersey and Boston organize this annual competition. The purpose of this nonprofit organization is to promote young musicians by encouraging and supporting their talent and ability in performance techniques.

This is the very first music competition for 11 years old Peter. He is a student of Nataliya Tkachenko at Allegretto Piano Studio in Medfield. Mrs. Tkachenko has a Master Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy with more then 25 years of experience. Her students Jenna Bulanova and Grace Qian become 3rd place finalists this year and performed at winners concert in First Parish church of Watertown, MA
