Blessing Of The Pets At St.Edward Church
October 4th, the Feast of St. Francis, pet owners and their pets attended the annual Blessing of the Pets at St. Edward the Confessor Church
Blessing of the Pets at St. Edward Church...
Under grey skies on October 4th (the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi) pets and their owners braved the elements in order to get a blessing for their pet at St. Edward the Confessor Church.
Approximately 15 large and small dogs, one cat, two hamsters all with their owners as well as pet owners holding a photo image of their feline friends gathered on the top of the steps at St. Edward the Confessor Church.
After all the dogs had a chance to greet their fellow canines, Fr. Gregory Vozzo welcomed everyone, recited a few prayers, sprinkled Holy Water on all the pets and offered everyone a Pet Blessing prayer card to take home.
