On Sunday afternoon, 10/4, on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, pets were given at Blessing at St. Edward Church.

On Sunday afternoon, October 4th, on the Feast of St. Francis, pets and their owners were invited to St. Edward Church (and St. Jude Church in Norfolk) for a Blessing of Pets.
Big and little dogs (nine in total), one hamster and the image of a cat via iPhone attended with their owners. Pastor, Fr. Steve Zukas blessed each pet followed by a sprinkle of holy water.
Each family also received A Pet Blessing prayer card.
