A 'Jobless Recovery' Is An Oxymoron – Steve Jobs

No - Steve Jobs didn't say that, he went out and proved it. The reality is, until there are no world problems left to solve, there will always be jobs.

What there won't be is a posting on some job board "candidate must want to change the world." Steve Jobs just went out and did it - 5 times!

What there won't be is an employment contract that says "will never be laid off in an acquisition and will not ever be told your skills are no longer needed." Read:  Apple's Board says it 'no longer needs the services of Steve Jobs'.

What there will be, when you focus your true talents on solving even a single world problem, is the opportunity to create a job, for yourself and for thousands of others.

What there will be is the opportunity to grow a sustainable local economy - in a US city desperate for jobs, because you saw a problem and took action! Chinese chopsticks made in Georgia?

What there will be is plenty of that meaningful work you went to school for but you just can't find a "job" doing. Really?  Worldissues.org   

What there will be is plenty of work doing what you've always wanted to do for a living, but you can't now as you have a mortgage to pay. Seriously? IPO's boost demand for multi-million dollar homes.

What there will also be is failure - and lots of it!  Steve Jobs failed early and often and you will too.

Last week Apple surpassed Exxon to become the world's largest company by market cap. Steve Jobs proved that the term "jobless recovery" is an oxymoron, and you will too!
