Timed to coincide with sunset, Medfield Historical Society and Medfield Public Library are hosting Eastern Medicine Singers, a drum circle providing community members with an opportunity to engage in Indigenous song and dance with the inter-tribal group led by Daryl “Black Eagle” Jamieson of the Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe of the Pokanoket Nation.
Represented among the group are also members from Narragansett Tribe and Natick Praying Indian Tribe Massachusetts Nation.
Eastern Medicine Singers was inducted into the New England Music Hall of Fame in June 2026.
The event will be held outside in the gazebo area. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside the library with an earlier start and end time of 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.
The appearance of Eastern Medicine Singers is funded by a grant from Medfield Cultural Council, a local agency supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
This is a free community event.
