Cambodia - Renewing the Spirit

The church service where missionaries worship was Spirit filled.

Psalm 100:1-2 (NLT) Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy!

I wish you could share this worship experience with me. It is truly an experience at the International Christian Assembly, the church where Sherry, co-founder and director of WL worships. Every lyric is a heartfelt prayer. Truly, they mean every word:

~ You’re love is so deep it’s more than I can stand. I melt in your peace. It’s overwhelming.
I want to sit at your feet and drink from the cup in your hands, lay back against you, breathe and feel your heart beat. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di3O7nViVCE)

~ Jesus be the center of my life - it’s all about you.

~ O Happy Day - you washed my sins away. O Happy Day, I’ll never be the same. Forever I am changed.

~ I’m holding on to your divine love. I’m holding on and I’m not letting go. It’s not my zeal it’s that your love is strong. It’s not my strength it’s that your faithful. I look into your eyes of mercy. I remember that your heart, it’s for me. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0rqWKMhY0s)

I don’t think I’ve ever heard singing with such truth. Each word was personal. Members waved flags in celebration, danced and clapped with rejoicing. There were people from Tanzania, Russia, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Britain, Pakistan, Nigeria, India, Chile and the Philippines.

There was an opportunity for one-on-one prayer with a prayer team member (which I took advantage of), but I also spied pairs in the seats covering each other in some intense prayer. What a moving service!

And all this occurred before the sermon began....
