Saturday, April 30th, Come Help Clean the Charles River Watershed
Join Medfield Green, Charles River Watershed Association, and partner organizations for the 17th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup. Thousands of volunteers and community groups pitch in to clean in the watershed of the Charles River from Bellingham to Boston! The Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup is a part of American Rivers' National River Cleanup®, which to date has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways.

Once one of the most degraded rivers on the East Coast, the Charles River is now among the cleanest urban rivers in the United States. The Charles River Cleanup provides volunteers the opportunity to contribute to the river’s health, while developing a connection to one of Massachusetts’ precious natural resources.
The Medfield section of the 17th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9:00 to noon. We will work along route 109 on the banks of the Charles River and possibly at another location as well, if we draw enough help! Some members of the Medfield High School Environmental Club will help coordinate a clean-up at a family-friendly location in the Charles River Watershed. Trash bags will be provided. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to participate and to join a local community celebration following the clean up.
