The special event is a long-held regional tradition where competition is more relaxed and many racers take themselves a little less seriously than normal.

Racing will happen between 9AM and 4PM with 10 different starts through out the day, organized by age group, gender and skill level.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Friends of the Medfield Rail Trail in support of the campaign to raise funds for construction of the Medfield's recreational rail trail. The event name is officially called “Ice Weasels” and is presented by crossresults.com and JRA Cycles.

The grounds will remain open to all for free but all dogs must be leashed and some areas of the campus will be difficult to access due to the course layout. There will be attendants directing people where to park as well as a police detail to provide support and help enforce the leash rule for the day. The event is mostly sold out at this point but additional information can be found at BikeReg.com.
