Straw Hat Park announces fund raising campaign for residents and businesses to "Buy a Brick or Bench" by July 4, 2015
Medfield residents and business owners are invited to help build a better downtown!
The town purchased the land for the Straw Hat Park (between Zebra’s and Starbucks) back in 1999, identified the parcel as part of a Vision and Action plan in 2006, and initiated a public planning process in 2013. The design can be seen at Facebook.com/StrawHatPark.
The Straw Hat Park Committee is grateful to receive some construction funding at the last Town Meeting. We can now begin addressing the drainage/ grading issues and replacing the broken sidewalk.

· parents waiting for their child taking a class nearby,
· families walking to the library or farmers market,
· children playing on the grass,
· seniors relaxing on a bench, and in so many other ways…

You can help build the park this fall and leave a lasting legacy for your family. How? By donating inscribed bricks, benches, and more. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and several options are available. Donations of any size are apprecaited. Download a form at www.MedfieldCulture.org and honor your kids, grandparents, a hero, friend, teacher or beloved pet.
If you’ve already made a private donation, we thank you and we will apply that toward the naming opportunity of your choice.
The Straw Hat Park is a Medfield Foundation Inc. initiative, and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for investing in our community today.
Sincerely,
Jean Mineo
Chair, Straw Hat Park Committee
PS: Don’t delay – if we raise $50,000 before July, we can complete the renovations this fall and reduce the overall cost!
