60th Anniversary Celebration for Medfield Little League
Baseball has been a part of Medfield's youth since 1952. Come celebrate this milestone and the tremendous success of our towns 2011 Williamsport Team, "Medfield's most successful Williamsport Team ever team!" The Medfield community is proud of this teams accomplishments in the 2011 Williamsport Tournament last Summer, in which they were crowned "District 11 Champions".
Opening Day for Medfield Youth Baseball/Softball will be held on Sunday, April 29. Individual and team photos will be taken in the morning at the Memorial School field between 8 and 11 a.m. followed by the parade and opening ceremonies. Coaches will inform players of their scheduled team photo time. All baseball and softball teams should report to the Memorial School parking lot no later than 11:45am. The parade will begin at high noon and proceed out of the parking lot taking a left onto Adams Street, left onto Dale Street, right onto North Street, left onto Main Street, right onto South Street, right onto Metacomet Street and end at Metacomet Field. Immediately following the parade, all teams will march onto Metacomet Field for the Opening Day ceremonies. Where our our 2011 Medfield Williamsport Team will "hoist the championship banner" over Metacomet Field.
Hot dogs, beverages, hats and shirts will be available for purchase. A Major League game will complete the day’s events. In the event of inclement weather, check the Web site at www.medfieldybs.org for cancellation and rain date rescheduling information.
