Fast and Furious, was there a Microburst in Medfield?
Wild wind, torrential rain and hail wreaked havoc all over Medfield Thursday evening causing uprooted trees and damage.
Uprooted Trees and Downed power lines all around Medfield!
The skies turned dark around 4:45pm Thursday evening, and in a flash, wind, rain and hail came pounding from above.
As fast as it came, it was over, but it left a great amount of damage in its wake!
Residents wonder if this was more than a thunderstorm. Was it a Microburst?

Within a very short time Eversource trucks were heading from one end of town to the other and the fire truck sirens could be heard in the silence that follows a storm. As soon as the rain stopped, the buzzing of chain saws were out helping remove the unwanted tree parts.
A huge tree on North Street was completely uprooted taking a good portion of sidewalk with it as it rested on the porch roof of the owners. And a gigantic spruce uprooted just across the way, falling against a fence.

Tree limbs were all over the roadways and split tree branches were leaning on the sides of some homes on Pine Street. Wires were downed and power was out in many neighborhoods.
