Reminder that this Saturday, 5/31 is the final Saturday of Medfield Green Month at the Transfer Station 9-1
We hope that you have been collecting styrofoam! If not, look around your house and see if you can find any. Why trash it and have it incinerated or end up in a landfill, when it can be made into new products? Refoamit, a Massachusetts-based company, will give your styrofoam a new use. We will be collecting any foam that has the recycling symbol 6 in the triangle with PS underneath it. It needs to be cleaned and rinsed and includes packing blocks, produce and meat trays, take out containers, hot cups, foam egg cartons, trays, white insulation sheets and coolers. Now accepting peanuts (bagged up, not loose). Help us fill the truck up to the brim with styrofoam! See Refoamit.com for more details.
Household Hazardous Waste Day will be at the new Highway Garage from 9-1. Bring any motor oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, un-usable gasoline, hazardous chemicals, photographic chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, oil based paints (not latex), etc. so they can be properly disposed of. See town.medfield.net for more details.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 14th - the Sports Swap has been rescheduled to that day at Wheelock from 9-12. Accepting all kinds of sports equipment, except skis or ski equipment. Anyone is welcome to take items, donation not required. Leftover soccer equipment will be donated. Come and "shop" or get rid of unwanted items!
