First Parish Church welcomes guest speaker on November 18th!

First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Medfield is very pleased to welcome Marvin L. Venay, Director of Congregational and Volunteer Engagement at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry (UUUM) in Roxbury, MA to present our sermon on Sunday, November 18.

The UU Urban Ministry dates back to 1826, when Reverend Joseph Tuckerman established a ministry-at-large with the dual focus of empowering Boston’s most underprivileged citizens and transforming the consciousness of its most privileged residents. Over its 190-year history, the Urban Ministry has created many channels to conduct its work in addressing social issues, including settlement houses and chapels, affordable housing, community centers and service programs.
