This is the 5th in a series of short bios featuring members of the Medfield Police Department.
Medfield Police Department
"Getting to Know members of the MPD" will attempt to put unity in Comm“unity” by highlighting the members of the MPD by featuring short bios.
The MPD hope these bios will give Medfield residents the opportunity to get to know them better, and strengthen the relationship between the police department and our citizens.
Officer Daniel Neal
Officer Neal grew up in Sandwich on Cape Cod MA. He attended Upper Cape Cod Regional
Technical school where he focused on robotics and engineering. His Junior year in high-school, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the MA Army National Guard as a military police officer. He attended his basic combat training the summer between his junior and senior year. After returning, in 2012, Danny finished his senior year where he played Varsity football. The football team won their first division Super Bowl.

Officer Neal started college at Fitchburg State University in 2014 where he attained a bachelor's degree with a major in criminal justice and a minor in computer science. While in school Danny worked as an armed security guard at various locations across MA. He graduated with honors in 2018.
Wanting to do more with the military, Officer Neal transferred to the RI Army National Guard and
deployed in 2020 to Kuwait and Iraq. Upon returning Danny began his search for a job in law enforcement. After receiving the call from Medfield, he realized that a small town with community oriented policing was a good fit for him. Danny graduated from the Randolph police academy in 2022 and has since become an active member of the Medfield Police Department. He currently serves as a patrol officer,firearms instructor, FTO, and union VP.

Officer Neal is currently still serving in the RI National Guard with 12 years of service where he has
attained the rank of SSG. He is due to deploy at the end of this year to the horn of Africa.
In his off time, Officer Neal can be found enjoying time with his wife, new born son, and dog. He also enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and video games.
