Global Giving Month begins at the Dale Street School

Kickoff Assembly this Monday, November 3, 2014

Since 2002 the Dale Street School has been raising funds to help needy children in Zimbabwe. The level of fundraising has evolved from $700 in 2002 to $8,450 in 2013. Donations raised will be donated to the Coalition for Courage. Coalition for Courage, a non-profit organization, helps needy children, especially those affected by HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, by providing health, education and welfare services.

Here are some of the events highlighting the month:

  1. Global Giving Assembly - Monday, November 3, 2014
  2. “Pennies with a Purpose/Silver Sabotage” Fundraising game.
  3. Hunger Awareness Lunch - Friday,November 21, 2014
  4. Early December - Marimba Concert

Through these efforts the Dale Street School hopes the students will learn about the values of service, generosity, and humility.
