Healing Place Celebrates 15th Anniversary Today

I, Certified Reflexologist, Helen Chin Lui am honored to celebrate the Healing Place’s 15th anniversary on September 9, 2021. What an achievement!

When I began in 2006, I wore many hats; I was not only a service provider, but also the administrative assistant, accountant, customer service representative, social media director, bottle washer, and custodian. These tasks were overwhelming along with the stressors of meeting financial obligations.

Even though it is 2021, I still work almost every day on some aspect of my business, but I ENJOY what I do. It is rewarding and soul satisfying when clients, readers and followers tell me how much my work has helped them to heal.

When the Healing Place was established in 2006, the US alternative health trend was very young. Many people knew about massage, acupressure, acupuncture and chiropractic services, but very few knew what Reflexology, Reiki, and Chakra Balancing were. In recent years, Reflexology and Chakra Balancing have gained tremendous popularity as an alternative holistic method of healing.
In 2016, according to the National Institutes of Health, about a third of Americans sought out alternative medicine, and 5% of Americans solely use alternative medicine for their health. In 2020, the global complementary and alternative medicine market was estimated to be $82 billion USD and it is expected to reach $100 billion this year. Thirty percent of Americans use some form of non-conventional medicine according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.

The Healing Place is pleased to be a part of this progressive health trend.
