Polymer Clay Jewelry Workshop
Thursday, August 30, 10:30-12:30 p.m.
Free; registration required
Come sculpt baubles and beads to make your own piece of custom jewelry! We have everything you need to make earrings, a necklace or bracelet, a pendant or even a keychain! No experience necessary. Please register as space is limited.
Artist Reception: Colleen Sullivan
Thursday, August 30, 4:30-7:00 p.m.
Free; no registration required
The library will host a casual artist’s reception for Colleen Sullivan. Her photography is currently on display in the Dailey Room through August 31, and this is a chance to meet the artist and mingle. In addition to being a gifted photographer, Colleen has been a Medfield resident for over 30 years, is a writer for the Medfield Patch, a Medfield Lion, and a Medfield Library Trustee. Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited to join us.
Pillowcase Make-A-Thon!
Tuesday, September 4, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
Free; registration required
Come in and make a pillowcase (or two!) for kids battling cancer! Ryan's Case for Smiles is hoping to collect 44,000 pillowcases this month, one for every child in cancer treatment across the country. All the pillowcases we make here will be distributed to hospitals in our area. All supplies will be provided, but if you'd like to donate fabric please email me for details/regulations. No sewing experience necessary. Please register as space is limited.

3D Print Night (For Adults)

Drop in to the Makerspace from 6-8 to see the 3D Printers in action and to chat with Matt about our printers,
how to print at the library and how to get started on your own 3D design work.
Family Games & Puzzles Day

Drop in and play with the library's collection of games and puzzles! Ages 3 and up with an adult.
Parachute Play

Children and their caregivers can ring around the parachute with music, games, a story and a craft! Ages 2 - 4
with an adult. Please register as space is limited. Registration begins 2 weeks before the date of the program.
Glass Etching Workshop
Thursday, September 13, 10:30-12:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of designing, printing and using vinyl stencils to make personalized and unique etched glass
objects. Each participant will go home with one piece of etched glassware and the skills to make more at
home. Due to the harsh nature of the etching cream, participants must be 18 or older. Please register as space
is limited.

Cookbook Club and Author Visit - Judy Gelman & Vicky Levy Krupp

For our first Cookbook Club in the Fall (and on a Thursday!), we're so excited to welcome cookbook authors Judy Gelman & Vicky Levy Krupp to the MPL! We're cooking and eating from their books Table of Contents or The Book Club Cookbook. Judy and Vicky will be on hand to give us all the juicy backstory on creating their books and recipes. Choose and make a recipe to share. We'll all talk about how easy or difficult it was to use these cookbooks. Copies of the cookbooks are available at the library or you can request one.
Lego Club

Medfield Library announces reoccurring activities

The Medfield Public Library Makerspace, the STEAM Room, is open and available for use anytime that the library is open for everyone aged 16+ and/or children accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you'd like some assistance on the equipment or to check out the activity of the day, drop by the STEAM Room during the days and times listed above. Nominal fees apply to some materials.
