Hunter's 7th Annual Run is BACK!!!

Hunter’s Run Foundation is excited to be holding our 7th Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on April 3, 2022 at Kingsbury Club Medfield.

Hunter is a 14-year-old two-time double lung transplant recipient. Hunter was born with a rare lung disease, and we were told the best option was to let him pass away. We were not going to accept that for his life as we knew he had a strong will to live. From Colorado, we found Boston Children's Hospital in 2009, and subsequently moved in 2012.

Hunter has been under more than 100 anesthetic procedures to include 2 open heart surgeries and 2 double lung transplants.

As you can imagine, the toll all of this took on him and our family was very traumatic with most of his young life being in-patient at Children's. We were able to survive and now thrive due to Hunter’s two donors & donor families, Boston Children's Hospital Pediatric Transplant Center, and the wonderful gift of community ( which includes many business, families and anonymous givers)!

For the past 5 years, Hunter has enjoyed a hospital free life.

Why? After his last hospitalization we implemented Mandatory Mile. He walks, bikes, runs for at least one mile every single day! He takes care of the precious gift of life and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Hunter’s Run Foundation’s mission is to spread Organ Donation Awareness as well as give back to the essential services and charities that helped our family at a time in our lives, we needed help the most.

Funds raised go directly to in-patient families to help with food, housing, and parking cost so they can focus on being present with their child. We also support other charities to include Donate Life, MFi and NEADs.
