Inga's passion for drawing and painting started at a very early age and is something she has carried through her entire life. For her, something is missing without art.
She grew up in New Jersey and Newton, MA, but currently resides in Medfield MA, where she has a home studio.
As a graduate of Northeastern University with degrees in Biology and Medical Technology and even while pursuing a career in dental research in the medical diagnostics & business world, she always made taking art classes and workshops with leading artists, a necessity in her life.
Inga studied art at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Danforth Museum School of Art, as well as with resident & guest artists at many New England Art Associations both locally, on Cape Cod and the North Shore. Inga has also exhibited at various juried art shows at the Danforth Museum, Falmouth Art Association, Cape Cod Art Association, and participated in many Open Studios and Art Fairs. She considers herself very luck to be a part of the Zullo Art Gallery, the Medfield Adult Education program and the Dwight Derby House Artist group.
Inga's art is varied and impressionistic. She works in various mediums; watercolor, pastels, mixed media, monotype printing, charcoal. acrylics and oils. Her greatest thrill comes from painting landscapes, specifically saltwater marshes and fields.
Along with painting, she also expand her art to include textiles and does custom designing and hand weaving on a rigid heddle loom, one of a kind textured scarves, which are selling under the name of Accent Pieces.
