Jim Sano, Medfield award-winning author, releases new adventure novel for middle-grade readers, The Journey
Jim Sano has announced the release of his latest novel, The Journey, a fun adventure story for middle-grade readers. After a long business career in high-tech, Jim, a Medfield resident since 1986, has been enjoying writing stories, and this will be his seventh published novel. “I’ve
really enjoyed the adult and young adult novels I have been blessed to write and have received great feedback from readers, but I’m especially excited about this first adventure story for readers in the 9-14 age range. It was a lot of fun to write, and I hope all the young readers who love reading stories, going on adventures, and imagining themselves facing new challenges will enjoy this book,” says Jim.
The description on the back cover reads: Thirteen-year-old Will Donovan wishes he could enjoy his friends and trick-or-treating without the nuisance and responsibility of his talkative younger
brother, Sam, tagging along. When Will’s wish comes true after finding a strange goblet in the attic, Sam suddenly vanishes into thin air through the attic wall, and Will is challenged to muster up the courage to travel to a strange world to save him. Fortunately, Will’s friends and characters they meet along the way won’t let him face this dangerous journey alone, as they end up confronting their greatest fears, deadly creatures, and an epoch battle between good and evil.
Some Early Endorsements:
"As a middle school English teacher, I can get my hands on enough modern literature of quality for my students that brings back the pleasure of reading and weaves into the story the strong morals and values once prized by parents and children. The Journey accomplishes both in this epic tale of imagination and adventure. Kelyn Draut, Middle School English Educator The Journey is perfect for younger readers, tweens, and younger teens. There is great action, an epic journey, friends on a quest, and a final battle. This book was incredibly hard to put down. Before I even finished it I was telling my youngest two ages 13 and 16 about the story and they both were desperate to read it. This is one of those stories that could easily become a Christian Classic. It is another excellent read from Jim and Full Quiver. I highly recommend this." Steven McEvoy, Book Reviews and More
