Medfielders, Learn About Sustaining Your Health In the New Year
By: Katie Duval, Medfield TV and Megan Sullivan, Sustainable Medfield
We all do it. We set resolutions at the turn of a new calendar year with sincere intentions to get healthy. Then we begin to falter by the end of January. Why is that? Perhaps that’s because we haven’t been making a plan that will stick.
Enter Sustainable Medfield, an initiative of The Medfield Foundation, Inc. As part of our Action of the Quarter: “Food: Sustainable Food!” we’re offering a fun and informative event, Sustaining Your Health in the New Year, on Saturday, January 20th from 4-5:30PM at the United Church of Christ, Medfield. During this event, we’ll show you two ways to encourage a healthy lifestyle through food and drink.

Chef Andrew Wilkinson will provide a tasting of two seafood dishes, designed to delight your senses and inspire your culinary skills. Watch his cooking demonstration and learn how easy it is to prepare and serve healthy, sustainable proteins from the sea all throughout the year.
Local businesses will join MCAP (Medfield Cares About Prevention) to help you rethink the role of alcohol in your celebrations. You’ll sample tasty non-alcoholic drinks that bring the fun without the empty calories, and pair well with any dish. Come taste mocktails created by our fabulous local restaurant, Avenue.
