Letter to the Editor....
Dear Editor,
Monday, March 28th, is Election Day and I am endorsing my colleague and friend, Tim Knight, for a second term on the Medfield School Committee.
Tim moved to Medfield twenty years ago, and in that time has served our Medfield community – from coaching sports teams, serving - since its inception in 2017 - on the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Task Force, joining the School Committee, and as a vital contributor on a sub-committee of the School Building Committee. Tim Knight is a roll up your sleeves and get down to work person.

Tim’s first term was filled with unprecedented challenges for the school system - the prolonged pandemic, paramount shifts in our culture and the important responsibility of planning to replace Dale Street School. During this period, I found Tim to be forward thinking, budget oriented and resilient in his approach to all of these issues.
I am excited to finally be moving out of the past two years of Covid operations and look forward to being able to create both stability and more opportunities for our students and staff. Tim has a proven track record and a keen understanding of the issues in front of us as a current committee member. The role of a school committee member is to provide guidance and oversight of the school system as a whole and it requires aligning the needs of our teachers and students within the Town’s budget and planning.

Tim has demonstrated he possesses these key traits, and he is a team player, goal oriented and listens to all sides of the conversation. He will help lead us into the next strategic plan for the district which is a major priority for the upcoming year. Tim genuinely cares about all students, of all abilities and backgrounds, and our entire community of Medfield.
I am grateful for his desire to serve another term and to apply his lessons learned from the first. I am voting for Tim Knight on Monday, and I ask Medfield voters to please do the same.
Thank you for your consideration,
Anna Mae O’Shea Brooke, 111 Pine Street
