Letter of Thanks from the Medfield Lions Club
Medfield Lions Club is thankful for all the community support they received this year during their annual Christmas Tree Sales.
To the Medfield Community,
Thank you to the many people in Medfield and surrounding towns who supported the Medfield Lions Club Christmas tree sales during this very challenging year.
One hundred percent of the money raised by all Medfield Lions Club events goes to helping others. The annual Christmas tree sales is by far, the most profitable event we hold throughout the year, but with the COVID-19 concerns, we were not sure it would happen.

First and foremost, we want to thank Rev.Steve Zukas, pastor at St. Edward the Confessor Church for embracing the Lions request to set up the tree sales in the parking lot and his gracious help throughout the process. Having this location, as it turned out, was the perfect space in which we could work within the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the Medfield Board of Health. We also
want to thank the Board for all their guidance and time spent counseling us in how to keep both Lions members and patrons safe and yet still hold this very important fundraiser.
Another group who was crucial to the success of our event was the Medfield High School Varsity
Lacrosse team and their coach, John Isaf. The Lions have been fortunate enough to partner withthis high school team for the past few years and their assistance (and brute strength) on the morning of tree delivery day is key. This year, in order to keep social distancing, we requested a lesser number of players, which ultimately meant those who helped worked that morning, worked even harder than in years past removing hundreds of trees from the trailer to the lot.

Finally, we want to thank our Christmas tree patrons for finding us in yet another new location in Medfield and for purchasing their perfect tree.
Sales were fast and furious from the moment we opened on November 28th until we sold out only two weeks later. It was the busiest opening weekend in Lions history and we sold all the trees 2
weeks before Christmas!
As always, a portion of our sales will be donated to the Medfield Food Cupboard and the Medfield Animal Shelter as we have always supported these two organizations after the tree sales.
Just a reminder to the community...we welcome new members. If you would like to learn more, please drop a line to our membership chair, Lee Tredway at lee.tredway@verizon.net. If you join, you will make new friends and be a part of a wonderful organization.
The Lions Club Motto is "We Serve", but in this case, "We Thank" is just as appropriate.
We wish everyone good health and happy holidays,
The Medfield Lions Club
