Letter Of Thanks From Medfield Lions Club!

The Medfield Lions Club is grateful for all those who supported this year's annual Christmas Tree Sales.

To the Medfield Community,

As we welcome 2022 and say farewell to 2021, we reflect with gratitude.

Like all organizations during this past year, The Medfield Lions Club has had limited opportunities to host fundraisers and events to help fund local charities and many Lions International needs that continue to grow.

As has been the case for many years, the Medfield Lions Christmas Tree Sales is our largest, most time consuming and most profitable annual fundraiser. The Medfield Lions Club Christmas Tree sales have been set up at different locations over the years and two years ago we found ourselves, once again, needing to find a new home. We were welcomed by the staff of St. Edward the Confessor Church and we are grateful to both Pastor, Rev. Steve Zukas and Fr. Gregory Vozzo for all their generosity and partnership for the past two years in giving us the use of the St. Edward the Confessor back lot to sell our Christmas Trees.

We purchase hundreds of Christmas trees from a tree farm in Maine near the Canadian border and the trees arrive bright and early on the morning after Thanksgiving. We are grateful for the assistance of MHS Lacrosse Coach, John Isaf and the athletes on the Varsity Lacrosse Team for assisting us again, with unloading these trees as this entails lots of heavy lifting! We are beholden to them for their kindness.

Despite the 2021 challenges, we had a successful sale and we are grateful for all those who purchased trees and wreaths from the Medfield Lions Club. Many Medfield families are repeat customers and we enjoy seeing them return each year and watch their families grow. We are hopeful more Medfield families and residents will support us and stop by and visit the Lions Christmas Tree Sales lot next year.

As we are a community club, this year, we collected canned goods and other non-perishable items for the incredible Medfield Food Cupboard and received numerous bags of food. In addition we collected eyeglasses to be recycled.

The Lions Club is always welcoming of new members and this year we gave out Lions postcards with the faces of your friends and neighbors in the Lions Club and listed where these dollars, you provide, are used.
