Local NPO Hosting Incredible Summer Basketball Camp for Kids at Roxbury Latin

Medfield Residents to Host 10th Annual Summer Kids Hoop Camp

to Help Kids In Need Around The World.

If you are looking for an amazing basketball experience for your kiddos this summer, the Shooting Touch Kids Camp July 17th - July 20th over at Roxbury Latin (grades 2-9, girls and boys) is it! This year will be our 10th year and it is our plan to make it the BEST yet.

There are 25 spots left before this sells out and as a reminder, ALL proceeds from this camp go directly to Shooting Touch (Founded by Medfield residents, Justin and Lindsey Kittredge), an NGO that uses basketball to provide health care and education for 2,000 at-risk youth in Boston and Africa.

Along with Hall of Fame Coach, Bob Hurley (father to Bobby and Danny) and our talented group of coaches, here are just some of the confirmed speakers below :

• Kevin Eastman: For 12 years, Kevin served as Assistant Coach to Head Coach Doc Rivers for the Boston Celtics and LA Clippers where he most recently was the VP of Basketball Operations. He is the national director of Nike's skill development programs for elite high school and college players and one of the most sought after motivational speakers in the country. (Tuesday, July 18th)

• Carolyn White: C is the Associate Head Coach of Bentley University's Women's Team. An incredible female leader and skills driven coach, her ball handling and discipline drills leave all kids in awe. She is a force. (Thursday, July 20th)

• Kristen McDonnell: As the Former Head Coach for the Braintree Women's Varsity Team, Kristen has been regarded by The Boston Globe as one the best female basketball coaches in New England. As a young coach, she lead her team to eight successful seasons at the helm, including back-to-back state titles. McDonnell will be bringing in some of her talented female players for her AAU team to demonstrate team building and work ethic. (Monday , July 17th)
• Alex Gallagher: Alex service as the Athletic Director and Head Coach for the Girls Basketball Program at the Noble and Greenough school. Recently he has lead his basketball program to 14 ISL championships in 15 years and after his 2017 season led his team to their 6th consecutive New England Class A Title. Alex's lessons on defense will involve ALL campers and get them on their feet and no-doubt engaged. (Wednesday, July 19th).
• Surprises: There's always a chance for some surprises throughout the camp that could leave players even more in awe! (who knows!)
