Medfield ALA-110, Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 30th

After a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Medfield American Legion Auxiliary-post 110 (ALA) will be distributing poppies and collecting cash donations at the Memorial
Day parade on Monday, May 30.

Please consider making a cash donation at the parade, or a check make payable to the Medfield ALA-110. You can also mail a check to Kim Bodozian, ALA treasurer at 41 Rocky Lane, Medfield.

All of the red crepe paper poppies are handmade by veterans as part of their therapeutic rehabilitation. 100% of donations collected for poppies go directly to assist disabled and hospitalized veterans, especially the veterans at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center.

The Memorial Day parade starts at 9:45 am on Janes Avenue, and moves onto North Street, to Main Street to Baxter Park for a Ceremony at a 10 am . The parade will continue down Main Street to Vine Lake Cemetery, where wreaths will be placed at Vine Lake and the Veterans Grave Lot. After leaving the cemetery the parade route will continue onto Dale Street and conclude outside of the Dale Street School with a ceremony.

After the ceremony there will be ice cream and water for the parade participants. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held inside the Dale Street School gymnasium at 10 am.
