Medfield Boy Scout Troop 89 will pick up this year's Christmas Trees

Medfield Boy Scout Troop 89 is pleased to announce it will pick up Medfield residents' Christmas Trees after the holiday on two days in January, Monday, the 2nd, and Sunday, the 8th.

Not only will Troop 89 pick up Christmas Trees, but it will also take away wreaths and other greenery, bringing them to the Medfield Transfer Station. It is the Troops' 27th year of providing this service.

"Picking up Christmas Trees is as much of a tradition for Troop 89 as the holiday itself," said Scoutmaster Hatch. "Last year, we picked up over 700 trees, a record for us. We look forward to providing this service again in January."

The suggested donation remains the same -- $20 for a large tree, one over 10 feet tall, to $15 for a smaller tree. This fundraiser helps fund many of Troop 89's activities for the year and offers the opportunity to participate in additional formal leadership training for our scouts.

"Community service and doing good works is the scouting program's cornerstone. Troop 89 has a long history of doing good work in Medfield," said Scoutmaster Hatch. "This fundraiser aligns with our values, and the scouts look forward to it."
