The Creative Crew will also serve as a “kid panel” to share tips about building models, how to get the top score on rides and other little known facts about visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston.
The boys submitted videos that showed their builds and answered the question, “What does LEGO® mean to you?”

“I loved that Jackson said that you should never stop building. His video was all about keep trying and if your creation breaks, you can rebuild it and make it even better which is such a great message,” said Megan Amaral, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder and Creative Crew Judge. “I really liked his beautiful house build that included a garden and a beach.”
“Jason talked about how you can get a LEGO set, but you don’t have to use the instructions. You can build your own creations which is so true,” said Megan Amaral, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder and Creative Crew Judge. “He showed us an awesome house with lots of security cameras which was very unique.”
The contest took place via Facebook from March 20 through April 30. Over 30 entries were reviewed and judges selected 13 children that had excellent building skills, but also embodied the creativity of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston.
“We chose children that demonstrated their building skills, creativity and imagination through their models,” said Megan Amaral. “I’m really excited to work with this next group of talented young LEGO builders
that come from across New England.”
The induction of the new Creative Crew will be held on Friday, June 23rd at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston. The members will receive their official gear, do a special build with LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston Master Model Builder Megan Amaral and take photos with Megan and Bertie, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston’s mascot.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston is open daily at 10 am. Advance tickets are suggested to guarantee admission and can be purchased online at www. legolanddiscoverycenter.com/ boston
