Medfield Community Electricity (MCE) Coming In June

Medfield Community Electricity (MCE) is a program offered by the Town with new electricity supply options that provide more renewable energy and stable prices for all Medfield residents and businesses.

The program is a Town-vetted alternative to Eversource’s default supply and other third-party electricity suppliers. This program is a key tool of our town's path to residential decarbonization.

• IN PERSON & VIA ZOOM: The Public Safety Building conference room (112 North St). The zoom link will be available on the town website, and the session will also be live-streamed on Medfield TV.

Wednesday, May 1 at 10:30am

• IN PERSON: Center at Medfield (Council on Aging,1 Ice House Rd)

Medfield Community Electricity has three product offerings. Medfield Standard will take effect automatically for anyone currently on Eversource's Basic Service, unless you opt out during the "Opt-out Period." If you would like to choose Medfield Basic or Medfield 100, you need to actively enroll in those programs by visiting the website: https://electricity.medfield.net/enroll-or-change-product/

You will be saving money compared to the current Eversource rate if you choose "Medfield 100," which features 100% electricity generated by renewable sources. Based on today’s rates you can save 18% (hundreds of dollars each year) by choosing 100%, locking in savings now and helping fight climate change.

This offers an opportunity for all Medfield residents to chart their own course to decarbonization by choosing the product that is right for them.
