Medfield Community Supported Sunday's 9th Annual Hunter's Run

Thanks to Everyone Who Supported Today's 9th Annual Hunter's Run on Sunday, April 7th

Today marks Hunter's Run Foundation's 9th consecutive year raising funds for Boston Children's Pediatric Transplant Center as well as Donate Life and NEADS.

Approximately 200 5K runners and 20 youngsters one-mile runners (of all ages) took part in today's race which began and ended at The Kingsbury Club on Ice House Road in Medfield . Although a bit chilly side, with a sharp wind, these runners were committed to run and raise funds for this amazing cause in celebration and in memory of Hunter.

As many of you know, Hunter was a 2 time double lung transplant recipient and in his short life of 15 years, he touched an incredible number of people with his strength, endurance and love. Sadly, Hunter passed away in June but the Williams family felt strongly they must continue this work.

Boston Children's Pediatric Transplant Center funds go to families who are currently in the hospital with their sick child. Funds go to help with housing, food, and parking amongst other family needs (as Boston Children's sees fit). These funds help families focus on what is important during which could be the most traumatic time in their life.

• Our 2022 donations allowed us to gift Boston Children's Hospital $10,000.
• Our 2023 donations allowed us to gift Boston Children's Hospital $12,000.
• We also donated to Donate Life New England and NEADS. We are so grateful to Hunter's Run Foundation's Tribe!!!

"Sadly we lost Hunter in June of 2023, but we will not lose hope in our mission of helping other children and their families. Hunter will always inspire others to Slow Down and Celebrate Life. He did this by riding his bike every single day, he hoped to inspire others to do a Mandatory Mile every day for their health. He hoped to inspire others to enjoy the small moments in life.

We will continue to help Boston Children's Hospital Pediatric Transplant Center. We will continue to raise funds to help families with expenses during their hospital stays, so they can focus on their child. Please consider Organ Donation.

Hunter’s Run Foundation’s mission is to bring awareness to the importance of Organ Donation. It also serves to help various organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital and Donate Life."
