Medfield DECA (competitive business club) December 2021
Medfield High School is proud to recognize our growing and enterprising DECA chapter! DECA is an international high school and collegiate business competition association. DECA was founded 75 years ago (formerly known as Distributive Education Club of America) with the mission of preparing emerging leaders and developing entrepreneurial thinking.
Medfield HS students interested in business pick an individual or team event in an area they would like to explore (finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, management, human resources, hospitality, sports management, etc.). In November, students take a rigorous exam or create a business plan, operations report or campaign.
On Thursday December 9th, Medfield DECA’s 47 members competed in Boxboro with about 800 students from 17 other local high schools in judged events. 31 of our Medfield DECA competitors placed top 5 in their events, qualifying them for state-level competition in Boston from March 10-12th.
