Medfield Environment Action Takes Steps Towards Climate Change
Medfield Environment Action continues its mission of sharing information and generating awareness about environmental and climate issues to empower local action. MEA co-sponsored the successful Climate Shoe-In with First Parish Unitarian Church on Saturday, Sept 12th. Did you see the 162 pairs of shoes and signs on display on the steps and lawn of the First Parish Unitarian Church? Each pair represented someone concerned about the environment and wanting to take action! The Shoe-In generated discussion and awareness which is especially important as we approach the upcoming election.
MEA will be hosting another virtual webinar on Sunday, Oct 18th at 4 p.m. focusing on ways that you can take action.
The presenter is David Green of Dover, MA and he will speak about how he accomplished a Zero Carbon Home in his own home and saved money at the same time! He will provide practical advice and information on insulation, heat pumps, windows and solar panels. MEA is planning a follow up webinar in November with a panel of our own Medfield Decarbonizers, Medfield residents who have decreased their carbon footprint with sustainable, environmentally friendly purchases.
