Medfield Farmers' Market Closing October 19
Thursday from 2 to 6:30 will be the final hours for the Farmers' Market summer season 2017. Thank you for being withe us again this year.
Market closing is often heard in relation to the stock market holidays but in this case it refers to the Medfield Farmers’ Market on October 16. The weekly market located on the lawn of the historic First Parish Meeting House on North St. opens its stalls from 2 to 6:30 P.M. for the last time this summer. Some of the vendors including White Barn Farm have farm stands of their own for customers who wish to continue their farm to table experience. Residents may find out this information on vendor websites or asking the vendor.
The final day continues to feature pumpkins of all sizes along with late summer and early fall seasonal vegetables like chard, kale, and broccoli as well as fruit from Fairmont Fruit Farm on White Barn’s stand. The Jordan Bros. seafood truck will be there as will Wagwan and Little Beehive Farm, the Jamaican jerk food and the honey vendors. There may be a wider variety of fresh baked goods at the church’s Bake Sale table since members know this will be the last day and of course Melt in Your Mouth Bakery will have those cakes and cupcakes that appeared this past month.
Several other vendors such as Pangea food truck may also be on hand as the season closes. The Market committee appreciates the faithful shoppers and vendors who participated weekly as well as those who attended as occasional vendors and shoppers. Thanks also to the newspapers and websites that helped promote the happenings weekly and to our volunteers and, last but not least, to our sponsors, the Needham Bank and First Parish UU church. See you next summer!
