Medfield Gas Price Tracker: Aug. 23

"At the Pump" is a weekly feature on Medfield Patch where you'll find a weekly roundup of gas prices in town. Specifically, the focus will be on how prices are changing from week to week, what prices are available, and how they compare to the local, state, and national averages. 

This week, the average price for regular unleaded gas in the Boston area on Monday was $3.65 per gallon, four cents less than last week, according to BostonGasPrices.com, which also listed the state average as $3.64 per gallon, which is five cents less than a week ago. The national average on Monday was $3.58 per gallon.

In Medfield, the cheapest gas can be found at the Sunoco on Main Street by Shaw’s Plaza. It lists regular unleaded gas at $3.62 per gallon and lists premium gas at $3.85 a gallon. The most expensive gas in town continues to be at the Mobil on North Street, which has regular unleaded fuel priced at $3.75 per gallon and premium gas at $3.99 per gallon.
