Warm Winter Sing-a-long

Friday, December 7, 4:30-5:15 p.m.

Free; no registration required

Have fun celebrating winter with Jeannie Mack during the Holiday Stroll. Come sing and act out songs about making snowmen, twirling around like snowflakes, sledding down hills, and drinking hot chocolate. Join in on some merry holiday songs as well! All ages welcome.

Family Games & Puzzles Day

Saturday, December 8, 11:00-4:00 p.m.

Free; no registration required

Drop in to try out games and puzzles from our Toy Collection. Ages 3 and up with an adult. No registration required.

Copley Cats Holiday Concert

Sunday, December 9, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

As one of the longest-running a cappella groups in the Boston area, the Copley Cats are known for tight harmonies, amazing blend, and great music. They will be here to wow us with heart-warming holiday classics. This concert will be appropriate for all ages.



Felt Ornaments for Teens

Tuesday, December 11, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Free; no registration required

Hey Teens - Come in to design and make a custom ornament (or keychain or hangy-thingy that you can put wherever you want.) Absolutely no sewing experience needed! Participants in 6th-12th grades are welcome! Please register as space is limited.

Makerspace Open House

Tuesday, December 11, 6:00-8:00 p.m. (2nd Tuesday of the month)

Free; no registration required

Come on in and try something new! Here at the library we have a Makerspace full of equipment, tools and crafting supplies available for your use. This open house is a great opportunity to tour the space if you've never been here before, or to try out a new piece of equipment with help nearby. From high tech to traditional, we probably have something that will float your boat! Registration is not required, but sign up if you'd like an email reminder about this event.

Hand Sewn Bird Ornament

Thursday, December 13, 10:30-12:30 p.m.

Free; registration required

If you've never sewn anything before, come in and make a sweet, little bird ornament out of colorful tapesty fabrics. If you've been sewing your whole life, come in and make two or three! This is a great project for all skill levels. Please register as space is limited.

Read to a Dog

Saturday, December 15, 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Free; registration required

Bring your favorite book or pick any from our collection to share with a therapy dog. Ages 5 and up. Space is limited. Register for your 15 minute slot by visiting or calling the Children's Desk.

Winter Crafts

Weekdays, December 17 – December 28, 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Free; no registration required

Drop into the Children’s Room to create different winter themed crafts. Weekdays from Dec. 17 - Dec. 28. Ages 3 and up with an adult.

Family Lego Day
