Medfield Lions Announce Raffle Winner and Thank Community!

Thank you, Medfield!

The Medfield Lions Club thanks ALL those who stopped by last Saturday's Medfield Day Burger Booth and/or Raffle/Info booth and made a purchase of any kind.

The lucky winner of the $250 worth of MA State Lottery scratch tickets is Joyce M. from Holliston. Joyce is a patient of Medfield Lion Dr. Barbara Preussner, and purchased her raffle ticket at her dental office in Holliston. Congratulations Joyce!

All proceeds of monies raised at Medfield Day by the Medfield Lions will be used for charitable purposes, and the Lions are grateful for the community support shown to them on Medfield Day.

For the past many years, the Medfield Lions have set up a few booths in the Food Court and the community support never disappoints. In addition to the traditional Burger Booth, the Lions added a Raffle/Info booth to raise funds for the Lions Club a few years ago.

Anyone who walked by the Lions booths was offered an informational postcard with images of Medfield Lion friends and neighbors. The postcard includes information about who the Lions are and what the Lions do. Did you know that the Lions motto is "We Serve"?

What do the Medfield Lions do?

• Lions Sell Christmas Trees & Wreaths (at the St. Edward Church back parking lot on Rt 27). Sales BEGIN the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
• Lions Co-host a Senior Holiday Luncheon in December
• Lions host a Spring Gala Event with proceeds going to local families in temporary crisis and work closely with the Medfield Helping Hands (an Mfi initiative).
• Lions offer Medfield High School and Montrose High School students an opportunity to participate in the Lions Speech contest
• Lions Award Two Scholarships annually to Medfield graduates.
