Medfield Lions Club Helps Williams Family, Serves The Community

On Tuesday, August 9th, the Medfield Lions Club President, Barbara Gips and fellow Lion Toby Burrell presented a check for $2,000 to the Williams family after a fire on July 10th destroyed their Medfield home. The family is thankful that no one was home at the time of the fire.

The Williams family of 4 are currently staying at a temporary home in Medfield and planning on rebuilding their Evergreen Way home and they are grateful to the Medfield community and beyond for the outpouring of assistance and funds.

The Medfield Lions Club is a service organization. Their motto is "We Serve". When news of this tragedy was told to the Lions Club, it was immediately acted upon deciding on the donation of $2,000 for this family.

In addition, a Gofundme campaign Williams Family House Fire, organized by Christen Holmes has been set up by neighbor and friend, Christen Holmes and the outpouring of support has exceeded the initial goal, however donations are still very welcome and graciously accepted.
