Medfield Lions Club Selling Christmas Trees – NEW LOCATION!

The Medfield Lions Club is pleased to announce that this year their annual Christmas Tree Sales will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church (back lot) on Rt 27, Medfield.

Please note this NEW LOCATION for the tree sales.

The Medfield Lions Club would like to thank Rev.Steve Zukas for his kindness and generosity in sharing this parking lot area with them this Christmas season.

Tree Sales will begin on Saturday, November 28th through Sunday, December 20th. Sales will be on Thurs/Friday from 4pm-7pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am-4pm.

The Lions Club received guidelines from the local Board of Health due to COVID-19 and will be following all the protocols required. The hours and days of sales have been reduced slightly and all Lions and patrons will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.

The Lions will also be doing contact tracing and in order to have this be a contactless sale, they are encouraging patrons to make payment via VENMO, however checks will be accepted and cash as a last option. One hundred percent of the profits will benefit either Lions projects or Medfield organizations and charities.

Patrons will be asked to load their purchased tree into their own vehicle, If patrons are in need of assistance in affixing the tree to the roof, Lions will request the vehicle be unoccupied until the tree is properly secured.

This Lions Fundraiser has become the Club's principal fundraiser and features freshly sheared, USDA Premium Grade Maine Balsam Fir Christmas trees. Most trees fall in the range of 6 ft. to 8 ft, but there will also be a limited number of smaller trees and Fraser Firs.

In past years, the Lions have offered a coupon, in which the patron would choose to donate $5 of their purchase price to either the Medfield Food Cupboard or the Medfield Animal Shelter, but this year, with a contactless event, they will not be offering a coupon, but will accept an additional donation when payment is made to assist them in making donations to these worthwhile charities.

The Medfield Lions Club greatly appreciates all the families and residents that have supported the Tree Sales in past years and are looking forward to a successful sale this year. They also ask for your cooperation and patience when visiting the Christmas Tree site this year with new guidelines in place. Their goal is to make this fundraiser an enjoyable time while keeping everyone safe when selecting a tree.

Lions motto is “We Serve”.
