Lions 2016 Chowderfest proceeds ($2,00) donated to FOSI
In early November the Medfield Lions Club teamed up with the Friends of Seniors Inc. (FOSI) to host Medfield’s Eighth Annual Chowder Fest. The event featured comforting chowder tastings from eight area restaurants/markets including Basils, Noon Hill Grill, Nosh and Grog, Ice House Restaurant at the Kingsbury Club, Shaw’s Market, Primavera, Avenue and Roches Market. Delicious rolls were provided by Blue Moon Bagel Café. Thanks to their collective generosity the event was a great success. The winner of “Best Chowder” for the fourth time was Basil Restaurant. Lion Tony Centore, event manager presented a check for $2,000 to FOSI member Bob Healde who said “the funds raised will go to the FOSI Challenge to support Medfield’s Senior Center”. Roberta Lynch COA Director thanked the Lions for their continued generosity in supporting Medfield Seniors.
