Medfield Lions MFD Golf Ball Drop to Benefit Ukraine A Huge Success

The First Medfield Lions Club / MFD Fire Truck Golf Ball Drop on Sunday, April 24th was a great fundraiser to support Ukraine!

MEDFIELD Lions / MFD Fire Truck Golf Ball Drop...

With the amazing support of the Medfield Community, the Medfield School Department and the Medfield Fire Department, The FIRST EVER Medfield Lions / MFD Fire Truck Golf Ball Drop was a huge success.

The event was held at the Wheelock School on Sunday afternoon with Medfield Youth Lacrosse games and Medfield Youth Soccer games happening on the fields. While the Lions set up a table on the grassy area just beside the school and the Medfield Fire Department brought the ladder truck and set up the extension ladder over the cordoned off grassy area for the Drop, the excitement was building! In addition local food trucks The Hot Dog Wagon owned by Steve and Ingrid Scanlon and Chub's Ice Cream Truck owned by Jeremy Kovacs kindly agreed to join in on the fun!

The expectation for the Drop was to sell 500 golf ball numbers, however, the number of balls sold turned out to be more than double that! Prior to Sunday 1,000 golf ball numbers had been sold but the last ball number was sold just before 3pm exceeding all expectations.
