Medfield Market New Closing Date October 26

White Barn Farm, selling its own vegetables, herbs and flowers, as well as Fairmont Farms’ apples & seasonal fruit, Narragansett Creamery’s cheese and fresh eggs, will be among the vendors as the Medfield Farmers’ Market continues throughout the month of October. The market is held on the property of the historic First Parish Meeting House on North St. each Thursday from 2- 6:30 p.m. Parking is available behind the church or along North St.

Originally scheduled to stop in September, the market committee announced before the end of September that it has extended the season through October 26. Joining White Barn Farm will be the Jordan Bros. Seafood, Wagwan, a prepared food vendor whose fare features Jamaican spices, and a church sponsored bake-sale table. Not only is this stocked with home-baked pies, cookies, breads and biscuits provided by church members but the entire sales amount is dedicated to maintaining their historic building. Next to this is a children’s activity table with large puzzles and coloring books to keep the little ones busy while parents shop

Many other seasonal vendors may be there, including: Little Beehive Farm, using his flowers to attract bees, he sells the honey and items made from honey at the market; MDS Soapworks and Sherborn Soaps offer handmade, natural soaps; jams, pickles, and spice rubs from Confectionary Creations; cakes and cupcakes, guaranteed to melt in your mouth, by the recent vendor who joined the market in September and whose business is called Melt In Your Mouth Bakery; the Mini Emporium van, containing children’s clothing and another van, Pangea Cuisine, announcing the prepared organic foods within for those on a paleo diet; Starbucks offering free used coffee grounds to assist with fall gardening; Juice Plus, wellness people selling vitamin and mineral supplements and The Medfield Holistic Wellness Center, whose practioners reduce stress, inflammation or just provide relaxation.

This list is neither complete nor definite, except for those vendors who staffed the market faithfully every week throughout the summer. Best to just keep visiting weekly throughout the next month to see who or what is on hand. This is an opportunity for those who vacationed much of the summer to catch up on the farm to table concept that they may have missed.
