Congratulations to Medfield Park & Recreation becoming a 2022 "Fields of Excellence" Award Winner Again...
Pioneer Athletics is a world-wide supplier of paint, maintenance items and much more in the athletic fields industry.
Park & Recreations Director, Katie Walper stated, "Today we were recognized by Pioneer for our AMAZING athletic fields for 2022. Out of 35,000 fields, only 104 receive this recognition. We are the ONLY town in Massachusetts who was awarded the Fields of Excellence Award. In fact only one of 2 in New England area to receive this award. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of Brian and his exceptional staff. Brian is the backbone to our athletics fields and overall maintenance of both Metacomet and McCarthy. Brian’s love for his job does not go unnoticed, and we are truly lucky to have him as part of our team! Rain or shine, Brian goes above and beyond for the town and we are so
thankful for his 12+ year commitment to our department. His dedication to his job is rare and inspiring. He always has a smile on his face and willing to help wherever needed."

However, this is not the first time that Medfield Park & Recreation fields have received this honor. They also won this award in 2010, 2019 and 2021.
Walper went on to say, "It's a privilege to work with Brian. His commitment to his job is rare to find, and I admire his dedication to the department. I couldn't have asked for a better team member; we are truly lucky to have him."
