The Pen Pal Program Goes Inter-Generational!

Do you know a senior citizen in Medfield that would love to receive mail from a teenager pen pal? Maybe you have a parent, grandparent, neighbor or friend who is yearning to make a new friend, especially now during the cold days of winter and feeling a bit isolated.

The Council on Aging (COA) is working with Medfield Outreach to provide an Inter-Generational Pen Pal program that will connect Medfield youth with Medfield seniors and there are already a great number of teens ready to start writing....we just need more seniors to sign up.

How wonderful to be able to communicate by mail and learn about each other; the differences experienced, the activities that each did when young and the plans and hopes for the future. So much can be shared in a letter and so much learned about the past.

Letter writing is not old fashioned.

It is something wonderful. If you know someone who might like to participate in this program, tell them about it and if they are interested, tell them to call The Center at 508-359-3665 NOW for more information and to sign up for this new initiative!
