Medfield Police Logs, Nov. 21-30: OUI Arrest, Disturbing the Peace and Larceny

Monday, Nov. 21:
9:28 a.m. – Individual from Johns Avenue walked into the station to speak to an officer about a fraud case. Officer notified and filed a report.
10:43 p.m. – Man called from his cell phone on Main Street to report a deer was hit. Officer reported he had to put the deer down with two shots.

Tuesday, Nov. 22:
6:21 a.m. – Woman called from Lord’s Department Store to report a deer in the middle of the road on Main Street. Officer notified and requested the Highway Department for cleanup. Highway Department was notified.

8:05 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to request the police for a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury in front of a residence on North Street. Officer requested tow truck. A second officer reported damage to a wall and a hydrant. Desk officer notified Edward Hinkley of the hydrant.
11:40 a.m. – Woman called from emergency 911 from Medfield Orthopedic and Sports on North Meadows Road to report a smell of smoke or on the ground floor side door. EMT reported the smell was coming from a small heater in the doorway and they unplugged it for the time being. Building manager would take a look at the heater immediately.
3:43 p.m. – Caller reported his two daughters went out for a walk and have not returned yet. Officer was enroute to Tilden Village on Pound Street to speak with the caller. Officer requested the ambulance for the caller, who seemed “confused.” Ambulance transported patient to BID in Needham.
4:42 p.m. – Caller from Charlesdale Road reported her 18-year-old son was banging on the front door and would not leave. She did not want to talk to him. Officers notified. Officer filed a report. At 5:15 p.m., woman called back to speak to officer about filing charges. Officer was enroute to residence.
5:12 p.m. – Caller from Main and North Streets reported the walk light crossing North and Main Streets at Main and Pleasant Streets changes too fast. She took “three steps and the light changed.” She wanted it logged and possibly changed to stay on longer.
Wednesday, Nov. 23:
8:26 a.m. – Desk officer from the Dover Police Department called to report they received a report of the Dover High School and Medfield High School kids “maybe” having a beer and alcohol party some time Wednesday after school or Wednesday night off of North Meadows Road in the wooded fields.
2:14 p.m. – Medfield ambulance went to Dover for mutual aid for a motor vehicle crash on Rocky Brook Road. Ambulance was enroute to Needham Hospital with patient.
Thursday, Nov. 24:
1:56 a.m. – Officer reported an individual ran into the woods in the area of Wheel Wright Road and North Street. Officer was out with the subject on North Street in front of the police station. Officer reported he would be enroute to the station with one under protective custody. The 26-year-old Allston resident was placed into protective custody and released at 6:49 a.m.
1:43 p.m. – Caller reported one of his neighbors on Granite Street is burning brush. Officer notified and responded. Reported it was a fire pit.
4 p.m. – Woman called from Newton Wellesley Hospital to report her husband had been drinking and may have left with the kids. Officer spoke to the caller and another reported there was nobody home at the Pine Street address.
4:35 p.m. – Caller reported she had two Golden Retrievers in her backyard with no tags on Main Street. Animal Control was notified.
6:39 p.m. – 911 caller reported they had an 89-year-old individual who was having a diabetic reaction on Oak Street. Ambulance and paramedics notified. Paramedics were cancelled. Ambulance reported they had the patient and would be enroute to Norwood Hospital.
6:47 p.m. – 911 caller reported a car into a wall on Onondaga Lane. Officers notified and tow truck was called.
Friday, Nov. 25:
2:46 p.m. – Woman called the station from Main Street to report she had a missing dog. Animal Control notified but was later cancelled as the woman found her dog.
3:22 p.m. – Woman called from Newton Wellesley Hospital and reported her kids were in danger. Officer notified and reported no problem.
7:25 p.m. – Fire alarm came into the station from North Meadows Road. Box alarm struck and firefighters and officers were notified. Fire Chief William Kingsbury reported sprinkler company was out testing.
7:39 p.m. – Sergeant John Mayer reported he was out on a motor vehicle stop on North Meadows Road. Sergeant requested Assured Collision towing to the scene and an officer reported he would be returning into the station with one man under arrest. Mark Deblous, 55, of 184 Forest St., Sherborn, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence (OUI) of liquor, drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle and failure to dim lights while operating a motor vehicle, according to police logs. Officer Pellegrini reported he was going to Dover for a refusal breathalyzer test. Deblous left the station at 9:16 p.m.
10:40 p.m. – Caller reported she had a small animal in her house, maybe a chipmunk. Animal Control notified.
10:57 p.m. – Caller reported her son was outside banging on the window at Wilkens Glen Road and she wanted him removed. Officers responded and reported the individual “fled into the woods,” according to police logs. Officer later reported they were clear from the scene with one under arrest. Michael A. Martinis, 19, of Wilkens Glen Road, Medfield was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and malicious destruction of property less than $250, according to police logs. At 12:26 a.m. at the police station, according to police logs, Martinis said he wanted to go to Norwood Hospital to talk to a doctor. Officer Pellegrini rode in the ambulance with the patient to Norwood Hospital.
11:35 p.m. – Caller reported a lot of noise coming from Wilkens Glen Road. Officers notified and reported music was turned down.
Saturday, Nov. 26:
10:43 a.m. – Individual called from Copperwood Road to report someone riding a dirt bike in and around McCarthy Field. Officer checked the area but the dirt bike was gone on arrival.
1:13 p.m. – Man called to report he was doing work on Pine Street and broke the water pipe from the street to the house and needed the water turned off. Edward Hinkley of the Medfield Water Department was notified and erounte.
Sunday, Nov. 27:
8:51 a.m. – Officer issued two citations at Main Street and Trailside Road while on traffic enforcement detail.
3:25 p.m. – Man from Causeway Street walked into the station and gave officer one 12-gauge shotgun and two boxes of 12-gauge shotgun ammunition for safe keeping until he receives his new license to carry firearms. Man was given a receipt for Nov. 27.
4 p.m. – Woman from Woonsocket, R.I. came into the station and spoke with an officer about someone stealing $25 and a credit card that belongs to an individual from Van Kleek Road in Millis from her shopping cart in Marshall’s Department Store on Main Street. Report was filed.
4:31 p.m. – Woman from Pine Street called emergency 911 to request the Medfield Fire Department. She has a wood stove in her basement and the basement was filling up with smoke. Officer and Medfield Fire were clear of the scene at 4:39 p.m.
5:49 p.m. – Man called from his cell phone on Main Street to report there was a wire hanging down into the sidewalk. EMT notified.
6:05 p.m. – Woman called emergency 911 from Dunkin Donuts on Main Street to request the police. An ex-employee was there and they would like the individual removed. At 6:08 p.m., woman called back to report the individual was gone.
Monday, Nov. 28:
4:59 a.m. – Caller reported a deer in the road on Main Street. Officer notified.
8:43 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to request an officer at Medfield High School. They had some vandalism to report. Someone spray painted the football field. Officer and caller looked at the damage to the football field and the parking lot. Report was filed.
9:06 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to report the top of a tree in the area of Main Street was hanging over the street. Desk officer notified Ed Hinkley of the Medfield Tree Department.
9:32 a.m. – Officer issued two citations while on traffic enforcement detail on West Street.
5:05 p.m. – Couple came into the station with a dog they found at Rocky Woods on Hartford Street. Animal Control notified.
5:55 p.m. – Manager from Noon Hill Grill called to request the ambulance for an individual with chest pains. Ambulance transported individual to Norwood Hospital.
Tuesday, Nov. 29:
8:08 a.m. – Officer reported someone did some tagging in the street at Acorn Circle and Hickory Drive. He filed a report.
12:01 p.m. – Man called from his cell phone to request the police as another man was in a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury at North and Winter Streets. Officer requested on-duty wrecker. Officer also requested the ambulance on scene and reported there was damage to a tree and lawn. Medfield ambulance responded on scene at 12:08 p.m. EMT reported they are clear with no transport needed. A 59-year-old Medfield man from Lowell Mason Road was issued a court summons charges of operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, according to police logs.
2:26 p.m. – Millis detail officer radioed the station to report two people just walked into the Lowell Mason House on Green Street. Officers notified and checked the house with no luck.
3:12 p.m. – Individual from Pederzini Drive called to request the police for a woman running after her kids in the front yard wit ha stick. Officers reported there was no problem.
4 p.m. – Man from South Street called to request the police because his wife was assaulting him. Officer and detective were clear from the scene after reporting peace was restored.
Wednesday, Nov. 30:
1:09 a.m. – Caller reported her 3-year-old was having trouble breathing. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.
