Medfield's Friends Of The DDH Celebrate Outgoing President

Laurel Scotti Celebrated for her time as President of the Friends of the Dwight-Derby House

On Tuesday, July 11th, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Dwight-Derby House held a small reception for outgoing President, Laurel Scotti, honoring all the work she has done for the past 3 years in that role.

Board of Directors, Michael Taylor, Cheri Autry, Susan Brooks, Lois Hazen, Eve Potts, Joanne Lafrancesca and Vicki Jones Costello were in attendance and presented Laurel with gifts including an official Resolution of the Executive Board honoring her and stating the following:

The following resolution was unanimously adopted by the Executive Board of Trustees on June 15, 2023:

WHEREAS, Laurel M. Scotti has served as President of the Friends of the Dwight-Derby House for a period of three years,

WHEREAS, as the person responsible for initiating the return of this museum back to its original appearance,

WHEREAS, as the person who involved the community in many activities of the Dwight-Derby House,

Therefore, be it resolved, that the Executive Board recognize Laurel M. Scotti's contributions in saving this treasured museum from its neglected state and developing community awareness of the Dwight-Derby House.

After accepting these gifts, Scotti was quick to point out that all the work done in and around the Dwight-Derby House during her time as President was a team effort and she is very proud of what has been accomplished. Scotti has chosen to step down to allow new eyes and ideas to continue the task of maintaining this treasured historic home and grounds.
