An email announcing the vacancy and process for filling Mr. Bonfatti’s seat was sent out to every Medfield Public School family on September 20. Although only Mrs. Glenn submitted a letter of interest before the special election, Meredith Chamberlain was nominated from the floor during the joint meeting. Meghan Glenn was elected by a vote of 6-1. Mrs. Glenn’s seat will be up for election next spring, and she expressed to the Selectmen and the School Committee that she intends to seek re-election at that time.

Mrs. Glenn, currently Vice President of the Blake Middle School PTO, has been heavily involved in the Medfield Public Schools since moving to Medfield almost seven years ago. She served as Chair of the Winter Carnival for four years, as a member of the Wheelock School Site Council for two years and has been on the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council for the last three years. Mrs. Glenn also co-chaired the successful “Yes on 1 & 2 for Medfield Schools!” operational override campaign in 2018. Meghan holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame, an M.Ed from DePaul University and previously worked as a high school social studies teacher in Lincolnshire, IL.
